Israeli Art and Culture Tour, Tel Aviv and Herzliya

Herzliya Museum – Probably the most daring art museum in Israel, small but consistent at showing young local artists alongside some of the best artists from around the world. Go through the current show, talk about contemporary art in Israel, and how it is connected and affected by the global scene. Waterfront of Herzliya is architecture and live urban culture in the Marina, a special place where business, housing and sports meet. Discuss what makes the place unique and capable of functioning in ways that meet all the needs of the different people who use the seaside city every day.

Tel Aviv Museum – A tour in and around the museum. Go through the current shows: Contemporary Israeli photography, Israeli painting, Israeli Art from the Museum Collection and changing exhibitions. Museum surroundings – the new museum building, Cameri theatre and Opera house, architecture and culture. Neve Tsedek – Tour the beautiful neighborhood, visit the Gutman museum, Tavi gallery, and continue either to the galleries in nearby Florentin neighborhood or Jaffa. Tel Aviv Port – The new walk way in the Tel Aviv port is a chance to see old and new, beautiful city planning and vibrant city life on the water. Visit local galleries, such as the ‘Comme-Il-Faut’ gallery, Ze Ze Ze gallery for architecture. Shuk Hacarmel is the bazaar in the heart of the city. In Nahalat Binyamin St., every week, artists also gather from around the country to show their work. Pass this street on the way to see Mazze 9, an art project by the municipality of Tel Aviv, and Beit Ha’ir, what was once the city hall building and now a place for contemporary fashion and art. Just outside the building, you can visit Bialik house, where the national poet of Israel lived in the 20’s, and Reuven museum, that shows one of the most important painters in the years before the state of Israel was founded. Additionally, upon request, it is possible to visit the back room Art Studios and artists themselves.
